Langbeck Racing HB educates in boatdriving and navigation, mainly for people driving faster motorboats.
The company is run by Björn Langbeck, who has been educating "boat-people" for over 20 years in an organisation called Sportbåtsskolan (The Sport Boat School), which he is also the head of.
Langbeck Racing cooperates with Sportbåtsskolan and since 2001 we handle all Professional- and Pleasure courses while Sportbåtsskolan educates future race drivers on a non-profit basis.
Our instructors all have a genuine boat experience.
The company can also perform assignments like: tests, boat evaluations, guidance for boat purchases for pleasure commercial use etc.
Langbeck Racing is a member of Sweboat, the Swedish Boat Industries Organisation.
Courses for commercial drivers
We teach RIB-charter drivers and others who drive boats in high speed as profession. The courses mainly contain high speed driving but manoeuvring and high speed navigation can be included.
In Sweden a specific education is mandatory when driving boats capable of 35 knots of more in commercial traffic. The education is a one week course including high speed driving, high speed navigation and passenger safety. We are organising courses to achieve the needed competence around the year. We have been giving almost these courses since 1990 long before they were mandatory. These courses have been mandatory since 1st of May 2004.
Among our customers to the commercial courses are the Swedish Police.
We have Sweden’s fastest School Boat!
It is an ex race boat, now re built for education purposes.
The boat is normally driven with a traditional throttle handle and the powertrim operated with buttons on the panel and in the throttle. The boat can also be driven with foot throttle and the power trim with foot buttons. All what suits best.
The boat has bucket seats for one instructor and up to four participants.
